Episode 7. When times are hard and bowls of credit crunch are all that’s being served up, a business needs to look inward and call on the support of its staff.

I think it was Roy Castle that once said, “Motivation” is what you need or dedication, whatever, I always thought that you need to be of the school of thought “A happy worker is a productive worker”, how wrong was I! It turns out that the best motivation technique is to constantly annoy your staff, kick em whilst they are down and generally flip them the bird so that any form of positivity is actually a real treat :D, I sometimes like to sing this to the U2 song Elevation “Mot-I-Vation, Wooo Hooo Oooo, Wooo Hooo Oooo!!!”

Episode 6. So you can clearly see I haven’t put as much effor into this episode and just re-used a lot of what I have already done before. You can also tell that I’ve been watching a lot of South Park recently (I’ve purchased seasons 1-5, watched 1-4) and watched Bigger Longer and Uncut again! That said I think the message is still clear :D.

There are times when you are looking at a potential new client and think “Should we really take this job?”, “Is this client the kind we want to work for?”, Does Saddam really need a website? Do we REALLY want to get his own store on eBay and Amazon to peddle WMDs? Sometimes I think I should work back at McDonalds the worst we got there was an old lady that wanted “A Cheeseburger, but without the bun” honestly, it was a wrapped up mess.

The final general episode and possibly the greatest ending of a series ever since it turned out Dallas was a dream, this tale sees the untimely demise of The Man. I felt that he needed to go out in a blaze of glory never to return. There’s no selling out for me or The Man, there’s no coming back from this one … I Just hope I get commisioned for the HD versions and maybe a BlueRay Disc presentation with commentary.

Episode 5. Ahh design for the Internet, is there anything more heart warming? Thing is, even though you can pour your creative little heat and soul into a design it doesn’t mean it’s right. Even more than that it doesn’t mean that it has enough Bevel and Emboss in it. There was once a boss who would revel in his bevel and would engage it at every given point, I still have knightmares of “BEVEL AND EMBOSS IT!! ARRRRGHHHHH!”. Oh also it’s not very well documented but the whole “Web 2.0″ Phenominomomom was born out of a friend of mine that ran bevel and emboss on a button twice. True story.

In the meantime here is The Man – Episode 4. Like the TV show Lost, i’m trying to build an air of intrigue and suspense as to where it may go. So far I’ve got “Man walks on, He dies.”. Watch out J.J.Abrams, you jerk.

Episode 4. Everyone has had one of those moments where something doesn’t work and you don’t bother checking the cables because, lets face it, we’re not THAT stupid. However, I once had a boss who every morning, without fail, would bring his laptop into the office and scream that the Internet was off again. He would call me on the office intercom (over the loud speaker) everyone would hear it feed back and then they would see me walk from the dev room to his office, plug in the ethernet cable and walk out. They would see me grin as I walk out and they knew what had happened. One time I convinced him that if he typed Google into Google that would also cause his ‘net connection to stop. Another classic.
